Extracurricular activities at Oakton are varied and many. We host one of District 65’s oldest Chess Clubs; our Artist-in-Residence program uses new and innovative techniques to teach traditional concepts of math and science; and classes such as Tae Kwon Do enhance physical acuity.
Our Flag Football and Basketball teams are perennial favorites among the older kids, while our Chorus enlivens many school assemblies. Not every club or class is offered each year.
Students will receive additional information about how to enroll in these programs once school starts and throughout the year.
Some enrichment clubs or programs have a fee associated with participation, but partial scholarships are offered through the PTA to eligible students on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the school office to find out more about scholarships.
